About the Business

SAS, or Shepshed Auto Spares Limited to give us our full title was created in 1999 by the three current Directors Tim Prescott, Spencer Parkin and Rob Hooper.

Back in 1999 Tim, Spencer and Rob were all working for the now defunct ADS - a Cash 'n' Carry wholesaler distributing parts and accessories directly to Motor Factors and accessory shops. Having become disheartened with the barrage of red tape and bureaucracy involved in achieving anything positive within the ADS network we decided to open our own motor factors and set about finding a suitable site.

We soon tied the deal on our current premises here in Shepshed, and in November 1999 we began trading for the first time with 3 vans and 3 staff. 14 years on and we now have 43 staff working for us and a fleet of 20 vehicles offering rapid same day deliveries to customers as far afield as Hinckley, Burton and Nottingham. 8 of our staff are full time parts advisors offering expert advice.
